Currently Bethel Hall construction permit is in the second round of review and approval process. Due to seemingly ever-increasing requirements in construction standards, we have to add in certain details in our construction documents which were considered optional previously. As a result, the projected construction permit approval has been pushed to the end of May. In the meantime, our church project management (PM) team has started meeting with our architect and construction contractor on every Tuesday, to facilitate communication and ensure work progress. And our PM team has completed our construction contractor’s construction insurance review; PM team also received bids for the design of the safety and security system and proposals for material and color themes for interior/exterior design, and established a workgroup to help review and collect feedback on these bids/proposals.
